Eric Chase was selected for the 2012 USA Wheelchair Rugby Team. 2 Storm athletes (Eric and Andy Zimmer) were invited to tryout. They trained relentlessly leading up to the tryout which was 4 long, hard days of hard rugby in Alabama. Their competition - the best in the world. We're truly proud of them both!

Playing with a pick-up team in Raleigh, NC, Dave Mengyan was selected ar best High Pointer (3.0-3.5) against some tough competition. Great Job, Dave!

The team goes undefeated in the one day Battle Creek 3 team mini tournament. Indy proved to be a tougher opponent than anticipated, but not as tough as the soft rubber floor. All 3 teams had difficulty with the surface, seriously testing each player's conditioning.

The Storm travels to Battle Creek, MI for a mini tourney with Grand Rapids Thunder and the Indy Brawlers. Games will be held on Nov 19.

The Storm announces their Official Home Tournament to be held on Dec 3-4, 2011 in Battle Creek, MI. 6 teams wil compete in a round robin format over the 2 day event.

Having won 7 of the last 8 tournaments hosted by Pittsburgh, we went in confident but knowing there were 7 teams looking to break that streak. Yet the compettion wasn't up to the challenge as the Storm ripped thru all their opponenets bu at least 10 points. Andy Zimmer was again honored, this time as the tournaments best low point player.

While Las Vegas seems inviting, it's no easier to come home with Gold at rugby than it is in the casinos. The team put up a good fight but came home 1-4. Andy Zimmer won all tournament team honors at his (1.0) classification.
